School Council
Autumn Term 2023
Our newly elected School Council representatives had the opportunity to meet with local counsellor and Old Hall school governor Jack Rydherd on Friday 15th September. Jack took questions from the children about his role as a cousellor and governor before taking the time to ask the children about their thoughts and feelings about school and how they and their classmates have settled into their new year groups. Finally, the children shared some of their ideas about ways in which they feel Old Hall could be even better that they had incuded on their pupil questionaires.
Here was some of their feedback on behalf of their peers:
'It would be good if we could have a school pet...maybe a dog or some chickens..." Max, Year 3
"I think putting the first aid station outside is helpful because we can now be treated quickly without loosing too much break time." Thomas, Year 6
"We are trying different things outside at lunch...lego, mindfulness colouring and reading...this is better for everyone that doesn't like ball games and it wasn't there before." Pippa, Year 5.
Macmillan Coffee Morning
On 29th September 2023 we will be hosting our next Macmillan Coffee Morning. Our school council will then be responsible for selling any leftover cakes at break time and delivering surplus to our community.
