The 500 Mile Proclaimers Challenge - July 2023

In order to raise vital funds for our local Brandlesholme community centre who support so many families in our community, our school community took part in 'The 500 Mile Proclaimers Challenge' invented and coordinated by Mr Sharman.

Brandlesholme community Centre provides local families with advice and support, a place to drop-in, uniform and food bank support to anyone in need. As a school, we regularly collect food items in support of this very worthy charity but this challenge was bigger and better than anything else that had gone before it.

Collectively, our children, staff and parents were set the challenge of running 500 miles around our school daily mile track. Starting with the staff at 7am and concluding with many members of the community and their children at 4pm, we hit the 500 mile mark and together we achieved our goal.

Our just giving page had a target of £1,000 for the community centre and after final donations were taken, we raised just over £1,900!
