Hello and welcome to spring 2.

We have an action packed half term for the children with lots of lovely activities planned.

Now the spring weather has started to arrive we are going to take full advantage of being outdoors.

This half term the children will be learning all about the season of spring and what happens during this season. We will start to focus on new life and growth and we are looking forward to planting new bulbs and seeds in our canopy garden and talking about what plants need in order to live and grow. Alongside this theme we will also begin looking at different categories of animals and how to sort them into different groups, where they live and what they give us. We will be starting with farm animals and animals in our local environment and we will be following up this learning with a lovely trip out to Smithills farm.

We are also looking forward to spoiling our lovely Mum's with a special Mother's Day treat in school.

Alongside all of these lovely activities we will also be inviting in our parents to share their traditional family celebrations with us.

This term we will be having PE on Tuesday and Friday mornings. The children will be focusing on balancing and gymnastic skills this term and they will need to come to school in their full PE kit including their pumps.

Our stay and play sessions will continue every Tuesday morning (w/c 13th January) and we look forward to seeing those of you who can join us.
