Hello and welcome to YR!

Welcome to Spring Term in YR!

After an extremely busy and fun first term the children have now fully settled into life at Old Hall and are becoming full and active participants. The Spring Term offers a wealth of new experiences for the children and we are looking forward to spending time exploring our outdoor environment and local area a lot more. 

This second part of the Spring term we are going to be focusing on the theme of 'People who help us' and the real life super heroes in our lives. The children will be busy interviewing visitors and working on their questioning techniques. We will also be using our imaginations to delve into the world of super heroes and discussing how it must feel to help other people all of the time. For our understanding the world work, we are going to be looking at growth and looking at our local environment and making observations of the trees and plants that have started to grow as Spring is on its way. We will then endevour to plant and grow our own beanstalks linked to our story theme from last term 'Jack and the Beanstalk'.
