Year 1

Our non-chronological reports

We have been using the text Toys in Space and have been inspired to create our own non-chronological reports on aliens. We have remembered to use a heading, subheadings, pictures and captions and have used lots of expanded noun phrases. We are so proud of our work.

Mark Making - making waves

In art we have been working on mark making and using different media. We looked at the artist Zaria Forman and the art she has created. Working together we had to create a piece of art listening to music while using different media to represent the waves.

Autumn

For our Science topic unit we focussed on Autumn. We went on an Autumn walk to the local park and found lots of items on our Autumn checklist.

We have also created these super pictures using collected autumnal items such as leaves, conkers and twigs. Then working collaboratively we created these fantastic pictures.
