We hope you have all had a lovely half term and the children are happy and excited to be returning to school.

This term we are going to be looking at Celebrations and Festivals and we are also going to be exploring the theme of Autumn.

Thank you for all the fabulous items that your children have brought into school from their Autumn walk homework, we can't wait to share their wonderful discoveries and find out more about your Autumn walk adventures.

This half term is always a very busy one with lots to fit in. Not only have we got all the exciting concepts to learn for the above themes but the children will also be taking part in their very first school Christmas production!

All the learning that takes place this term will be outlined in our weekly newsletters and please make a note of all the diary dates that I place on their so that you don't miss any important events.

Class Information

It was lovely getting to meet everyone at parents evening before half term and talk about how well your children have settled into life at Old Hall. We also had a fabulous turn out for our phonics evening and the positive feedback from this meeting was super, so thank you for your continued support.

As you know our weekly newsletter keeps you updated on the day to day activities the children are doing at school. This term we will be starting our stay and play sessions on a Tuesday morning. These will run every Tuesday morning for all carers and parents of YR children, from 8.55am - 9.30am. It is a lovely opportunity for you to come and see what your children enjoy doing at school, meet your child's friends and their parents and it also gives you a chance to come and chat to both me and Miss Cooper.

This term we will also start sending home our boo boxes, which is part of our homework activity scheme. The children love completing these interactive activities each week. The children will be split into two groups and the boxes will be sent home on a fortnightly rotation between these two groups. We hope you have a wonderful time exploring these boxes with your children and look forward to receiving your feedback about them.
